MINUTES OF CASRA MEETING – October 4, 2010 - UIL Building, Austin, Texas

1. Meeting called to order by President Dave Robertson at 6:35 pm.

a. We will have a relatively short CASRA meeting, followed by the TASO meeting and then Michelle will conduct the training Command Presence.

b. Introduction of guests: Lionel Zachery, Aaron Lay and David Patterson.

2. Reports

• September minutes were posted and approved.
• Treasurer: (Noel Gonsalvez) Balance is $2780.00 there are 37 paid members, 17 members short of our goal of 54. And if haven’t paid your dues and you plan on taking the test at CASRA make sure you pay your dues or you won’t be able to take the test.
• Secretary: (Marcello Rodriguez) No report.
• Vice President (John Smith) if you are a new member and paid your dues you will receive a CASRA flipping coin. You can purchase additional ones for $2.00 you can give out to new referees you’re working with. Also if you are working with a club and there is a new assignor please notify CASRA so we can keep our assignor list up to date.

3. Reminded members that according to the by-laws we hold elections in November. The terms of the President, Vice President and Secretary are over. John Smith has agreed to run for President and Noel has agreed to run for Treasurer. So their names are placed in nominations. If you want to nominate someone, please let the President know via email.

4. Old Business: None.

5. New Business: None.

6. The Referee Grade 7 to 6 Upgrade clinic will be held in Houston, TX at the St. Thomas High School. Sign up for this clinic online at www.stsr.org  Member Sign-In by specifying Referee Upgrade (or Same Year Upgrade if you have already recertified for 2011).. The written test will be administered on Friday night (Nov 12th). The fitness test will be held at 7:00 AM Saturday morning at the St. Thomas High School track.
