MINUTES OF CASRA MEETING
December 2, 2002 - MURCHISON

  1. Meeting called to order by Mark Elbom at 6:30 PM
  2. Minutes of the previous meeting: These are now available with the emailed "Good Call". Approved unanimously on a motion by Larry Fox, seconded by Lupe.
  3. Reports
    1. Pete Morris has resigned as Editor of "The Good Call". We thank Pete for his work. We will discsuss a new editor at the January meeting.
    2. Vice President (Michelle Maloney)
      1. HS training meeting after tonight's CASRA meeting.
      2. Events around NCAA Women's Final Four (at UT) 12/6 - 8.
        • Coaches classic will be that weekend.
        • USSF clinic, "Officiating the Women's Game", 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, on Sat. Dec. 7. This will feature US Female FIFA refs, some of whom will be working the games. This was a very successful clinic last year in Dallas, and it aimed at all level refs.
    3. Treasurer (Dana Brown).
      1. Checking balance is now $2196.
    4. New OSI rep is Janice Taylor (jotaylor@aol.com)

      2. Michelle accepted the position, noting her goals are to expand membership, and help members become more professional as referees.
      3. Since there is now a vacancy for Vice President, we will have nominations at the January meeting, with an election at the February meeting.
  5. New Business
    1. NISOA looking for new members (Chris Ng)
      1. Contact Chris or John Lohr if you are interested in refereeing college games. Chris talked about requirements for new members.

    1. None.
  7. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM , on a motion by Don Friedel (2nd Pete Reilly), for a HS meeting or for people to take the USSF recert test.
