      1. There was a system crash in May, but we are now recovering.
    6. Legislative news on referee assault (John Jones):
      1. In the last session the legislature passed HB716, with minimal opposition in either house, and it is now waiting for the governor's signature. This raises the level of offense for assaulting a sports official. This includes threats and use of force during a contest, and after the contest (including, e.g. in the parking lot). For a full text of the bill check www.capitol.state.tx.us/tlo/78r/billtext/HB00716F.htm
      2. Important points (as summarized by John): If you are assaulted call 911 to get police to the field. Even if you don't have to do that, call the police later, tell them you were assaulted and ask for a report to be made. Get the report no, and the badge number of the officer who takes your report (or who comes to the field).
  4. Old Business
    1. None
  5. New Business
  6. Situations
    1. There was a discussion of 4th Official acting correctly taking notes during fight at Snickers Cup.
    2. There was a discussion of non-standard equipment, like gel headbands. Michelle suggests that we now carefully inspect any equipment that is not part of the "standard uniform" as well as making sure that the standard uniform is safe.
  7. Meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM , on a motion by () (2nd by Ellen Carlstead) for one hour of training on the USSF video "Fouls and Misconduct".

Respectfully submitted,
Marc Kutner
