MINUTES OF CASRA MEETING
March 1, 2004 - UIL Building

  1. Call to order by Michael Day at 6:40 PM.
  2. Review and approval of previous meeting minutes (Marc Kutner). There was one spelling correction to the online minutes.
  3. Reports
    1. President (Michael Day)
      1. Introduction of visitors
      2. Members should be sure they are paid up for 2004.
    2. Vice President (Dustin Downs): - None
    3. Treasurer (Dana Brown): - Balance = $2323.64
    4. Secretary (Marc Kutner): - No Report
    5. Web Master (Chris Rake)
      1. T shirts for members who ordered them are now available
    6. Constitution/ByLaws Committee (Michael Day)
      1. There was a question about terms of Officers under the new Constitution/ByLaws. Day responded that they would change to two years, starting every other January, and that to allow for a transition, current Officers would serve until the end of this year.
      2. Motion by Les Rice (2nd Michelle Maloney) to put these up for a vote later at this meeting. Carried unanimously.
    7. Instruction (Michelle Maloney)
      1. There will be an entry level Assessor class in Austin, March 26, 27, 28. If you are interested contact Michelle (by email ASAP), and have a letter of recommendation sent to David Olmos (SDA).
    8. "The Good Call," Editor was there, but Michael Day suggested that we think about the newsletter with the web site.
    9. Youth Membership Committee
      1. Duke Duong agreed to serve as a member.
  4. Old Business - None
  5. New Business
    1. Approval of Constitution and ByLaws.
      1. The Secretary confirmed that a quorum was present. A standing vote was taken on each.
      2. Constitution: For 35 ; Against 0
      3. ByLaws: For 35 ; Against 0
      4. Both go into effect immediately. See the web site for the latest version.
  6. Situations - None.
  7. Adjounment.
    1. A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 by Kyle Pfieffer (2nd Phil Grant) for training on Referee Fitness (arranged by Janice Chapman) a TASO meeting.
